I suspect we are not top of their list of sites to attack but we already get attacked multiple times every day.

Clearly they do not understand that all model engineers claim to be pennyless  ::) so little point in trying to blackmail us. Worst case is they will take down the site and we might have to revert to a backup which would mean we would loose a few days of posts

The one line explaination in each section header is there to try to help people understand the sort of posts that should go in a section, it is not designed to limit what goes in that section. And yes the headers are not always adhered to by the posters.  When that happens we can always move it later to a more appropriate section later.  ;)

I assume the OP has got himself a set of plans as he has not returned to the forum since he posted his initial enquiry.

I am left wondering what happened for Reeves to refuse to sell him anything  :noidea: They are normally very good and send out replacement castings if there is a problem without a quibble.

Nearly forgot: Mark Burkhard's 5" 1985 Drawings/Castings from Atelier MB has four matching wheels for the engine  :noidea:

However not to be out done Reeves sold me a set of 6 wheels for the tender  :headscratch:  :lolb:

David Piddington drew up the  7 1/4" Locomotion while he worked for Reeves. It has "features"  ::) They are the only suppliers of those castings.

Atelier MB does a 5" model of the Locomotion originally drawn up in 1985. https://www.ateliermb.ch/shops/gussteile/ch/contents/en-uk/d12.html

The 7 1/4" model has cylinders the size of a 5" Tich so think of it as a static model.

I have some castings for the 7 1/4 version

Unbelievable. So I assume you won't be holding any shows there again  :hellno:

Our hobby is in enough of a decline without  :censored: treatment like that.

P.S. Sorry in no fit state to drive to/attend the Midlands show.

He always liked trying to wind me up.  :disappointed: Him and Stan Shires get them together and

You might remember I used to call him "Big E" this was because in the UK his chosen nickname is not used, so the first time I read it I wondered "Why would someone want to name themselves after a private part of the female anatomy  :headscratch: Once I had miss read it I always was reminded of it each time he posted  :facepalm2:.

And I still remember his misses forcing him to sell his soft top car because he was using it to pick up young ladies.

We have been missing his humour, how he "educated us" and hoped he would return.

Quote from: AVTURAs for where the South ends and the North begins.........

The Midlands is part of what we down south call the Northern Waste Lands which starts at the Buster Mountain 1 Gap and extends to where Hadrian built his wall to stop the true Northerners (Scots) coming South and laying waste to any more. 2000 years later the inhabitants are still complaining about the desolation of the North  ::)

There are some 80mm lathe chucks which anyone with a dividing head might find useful but not a lot left  :'(

Not sure what you mean by not using a machine tool:

If you put the hex in your three jaw chuck in the lathe and put a square against the front two jaws of the chuck you will find your lathe tool tip is at the centre height (or so fractionally below as it does not matter). A lathe tool can now mark the centre line.

    Hi Minh,

From here it looks like you are using a IPv4 address. You can check if it is V6 here: https://test-ipv6.com/

Minh's Country (Vietnam) has five times more population than IP addresses allocated so you could be right Per.

Phone a friend  ::) (Joke its a saying on a TV program) , get them to report the problem. Find a way to use a different IP address to log on so you can report it.

IP addresses that are used by spammers get logged and put on the suspect list. After a few days if the IP address has not caused further problems it gets removed from the list of bad IP addresses.

In the old days when I had to w*rk  :paranoia: for a living, I had a dynamic Business IP address so it was never the same twice, that gave me no end of problems  :facepalm2:

Sadly there are "idiots" around the globe who think (or their Government encourage) spamming and taking down websites is good fun. We have been subject to attacks and been taken down a few times .

Our defence is to block IP addresses that have been identified to cause problems for other sites. Sometimes innocent people get blocked because the "idiots" have somehow caused their IP addresses to be flagged as suspect and after a few days the anti spamming sites will de-register the IP address and it will clear again.

I can only apologise and be thankful the "idiots" have not started using AI for their purposes. When they do I fear that will be the end of our site access.  :ShakeHead:
