Wonderful model!  The paint job really gives the look of a long, hard-working life!  Nicely done!

The steam hammer is nice, and operates very effectively :  the brave experiment with the unusual paint effects has given a very individual touch, and I do quite like the weathered look of a machine that has seen a lot of life and some abuse over many years of bashing away in an unforgiving forge environment. An excellent build project.  Certainly , as wagnmkr has said, it would be perfect in a workshop diorama scene...  Dave

Thanks all for your kind words, much appreaciated ..........it was touch and go as to whether I had made the right decision to go for the distressed look and I'm glad it worked out as it did. :D

I have seen a couple of comments now about the size and postion of the lubricator oil container and am agreement; for future builders of the Stuart hammer options are:

- Make it smaller
- Re-route the pipework around the back
- Reposition the box on back and have the pipework going straight to the valve
