Thanks for your reply Jason.
that would make more sense instead of a big chunk sticking out of the backhead. I think this is the first part Ive come across where doubling up look completely out of proportion.

I've been looking at the standoff's for the water gauge and would value your opinions. If i double up from the drawing they become 3/4" thick :
:This seems to me to be way too much. What would you suggest ?
Cheers Bob - In topic · 22 SeptHi all,
still here ploding away at my minnie. i've been busy making some of the smaller parts to try to get ready for a steam test. All parts are as per the book and I encountered no problems. I have changed the damper slightly in that I've done away with all the bending on the rod as shown in the book and soldered a small rod on the door with a extentsion to go direct to the hornplate using a straight rod and fitted two small caps the the end od the hinge. - In topic · 25 JunThanks for advice Jason

- In topic · 24 JunStill working at it although progress has been rather slower than I would like. Quite a few small bits completed.
Now I have a question regarding the bevel gears for the steering , any recommendations on size/module would be appreciated.
Thanks Bob
